The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging Division (MSK) at the University of Virginia, seeks candidates to fill multiple Clinical Instructor positions to begin July 1, 2024. The University of Virginia MSK Division is participating in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) Fellowship Match process, sponsored by the Society of Skeletal Imaging. Qualified candidates will be members of the NRMP, http://www.nrmp.org/.This one-year post-graduate training fellowship program focuses on all aspects of MSK imaging. The fellowship includes significant experience with a wide variety of image-guided procedures, including pain management procedures and spine injections, in addition to cross-sectional and plain radiographic diagnostic work. It is expected that each fellow write at least one paper for publication or submit one abstract for presentation at a national meeting during the year. In addition to the above purely clinical fellowship positions, one position will be a hybrid of MSK/Informatics. The hybrid fellow will asymmetrically divide time between clinical MSK work (~80%) and clinical informatics experience/research (~20%). The ideal candidate for this position is at least entertaining the idea of an academic career (though not required) and has aptitude (though not necessarily experience) in engineering or information technology/systems. There is a potential option for one or two of the clinical MSK positions to be classified as a Research track position after acceptance of the candidate. The ideal candidate for this track would be one with a strong interest in an academic career. Additional academic time can be provided with an expectation of increased research productivity above the baseline research level expected of all the clinical fellows. Clinical responsibilities for both of the above types of positions include supervised and graduated levels of unsupervised clinical work, teaching of residents, and research. Assistant, Associate or Full Professor of Medicine, HospitalistThe Department of Medicine's Division of General Geriatric, Palliative and Hospital Medicine at the University of Virginia, School of Medicine, seeks multiple academic Hospitalists to join a growing practice of more than 40 physicians with expanding roles in the UVA Health System. Teaching opportunities in our residency program and medical school are abundant. Rank and compensation are contingent upon qualifications and experience.Our practice has exceptional support from health system leadership and leads a variety of initiatives to improve quality of patient care and clinical operations. We also provide medical co-management for orthopedic surgery and oncology patients. Our faculty represent a broad range of academic interests and expertise in medical education, clinical research, and quality and patient safety.Candidates must have an MD or DO and be board-certified/board eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine by appointment start date. These tenure-ineligible faculty positions are designed for physicians focused on excellence in clinical care, quality and safety, and medical education, including potential leadership opportunities in these domains, and research is not required in these positions.
